Review: Gilden Tree

Since the 1990's, Gilden Tree has always been focused on delivering products that are not only effective, but are also safe for the users as well as the environment as a whole. Most of the body healing products that are available here are prepared from some of the finest ingredients. These are tried and tested ingredients that have been effectively used on skin and hair throughout decades. Gilden Tree has, over the years, come out with such products that use healing ingredients popular in other cultures. Their range of products that include foot care products, body and hand care products are then formulated with these natural ingredients. Most of the products are created in such a way that they offer customers not only value for money but also healthy looking skin for years to come! Gilden Tree also uses Certified Organic ingredients that are of great standards and have proved to be quite effective.

This is my first time ever trying anything from Gilden Tree, and I recently had the opportunity to review the Home Spa Foot Care Kit ($36). This foot care kit includes a Waffle Weave Wash Mitt, Terra Cotta Footscrubber®, 1 oz. Shea Butter Balm, and an 8 oz. Soothing Hand and Body Lotion. It is the ideal gift to pamper yourself or a special person in your life.

First, soak your feet in warm water. Apply a little Extremely Gentle Cleansing Gel or shower gel to wash mitt, and gently rub feet and legs. Using terra cotta Footscrubber, gently scrub problem areas, such as dry, cracked heels and calluses on the bottom of feet. Rinse and dry feet and legs with a towel. Apply approximately 1 tsp Soothing Hand and Body Lotion, and massage into heels, feet and legs. Finally, apply a pea-size amount of shea butter balm to help seal in moisture and protect skin.

This kit works incredibly well, and is the best kit I tried for the feet. I was a bit taken back by the masculine smell of the balm and lotion, but I still love it for what it does. I've tried just about every pumice stone on the market, and their Footscrubber is the best. You can buy it for just $9 if you don't buy the kit. I can see why it has always been Oprah's top pick! For a limited time, you can buy "The Fish" version of their popular Footscrubber for $14. The Fish features a durable hemp cord, making it easy to hang in the shower, tub or near a sink.
