Moroccanoil Review

The luxury brand, Moroccanoil®, is the originator and leading manufacturer of professional Argan Oil hair products and the fastest growing independent company in the professional salon industry.

A powerful antioxidant and UV protector, Moroccanoil’s proprietary Argan oil blend is rich in vitamins and natural elements that fortify the hair, including Vitamin F (Omega 6), Vitamin A to improve elasticity, Vitamin E to protect against free-radicals, and Phenols to shield against environmental stressors.

Salon-exclusive Moroccanoill® products have a strong following among leading runway, film, television and celebrity stylists who search for the very finest for their A-list clients - Charlize Theron, Lady Gaga, Salma Hayek, Rachel Zoe, Carrie Underwood, January Jones, Jennifer Lopez, Adam Lambert, Jordin Sparks, Pink, Lea Michele, Taylor Swift, Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and Katy Perry. Moroccanoil® is a backstage fixture frequently used to create hair for major magazine covers, fashion editorial spreads, as well as for award shows including the Oscars, Golden Globes, Grammys, Independent Spirit Awards and MTV Awards.

Moroccanoil®’s Argan oil is harvested under a free trade program which provides substantial socio-economic support to thousands of families in the Souss-Massa region of Morocco. Revenue from this project provides income to families and helps improve the working conditions of rural women. It is also used for reading, writing and management classes, as well as for modern infrastructure and technology that help make harvesting easier and more efficient, ensuring long-term management of the Argan forest.

Moroccanoil Hydrating Styling Cream ($28) is a leave-in styling cream that is ideal for all hair types. With all of this heat and humidity, this has been one of my go-to hair products to tame frizzies, condition and hydrate my tresses. It also makes my hair feel really soft and silky enough to run my fingers through. This product creates an ideal texture for styling as well.

Moroccanoil Oil Treatment ($37) is ideal for dry and thirsty hair. All you need is a small amount to apply on your hair for an outstanding boost of shine! The less amount you use, the more benefits you will get out of this product. Otherwise, your hair will feel and look yucky if you use too much. Plus, it will last much longer if you don't go crazy/happy over it - even though it is tempting since it is so darn good!

Moroccanoil Oil Treatment is rich in Vitamins A, E and F (Omega 6), as well as phenols and tocopherols that will nourish the hair and scalp. This promote promotes healing and repair; and it also relieves dry, itchy conditions. My hair immediately drinks up this product, and leaves it silky with a beautiful shine. It also smells wonderful! My hair stylist even complimented me about it.

When I want to wear my naturally wavy hair wavy (I usually flat iron it straight), the Moroccanoil Intense Curl Cream ($28) is a must have! Whether you're a Curly Sue or a Wavy Wendy, I doubt that you will be dissatisfied with this product. It enhances my waves, and prevents humidity-induced frizz.

Moroccanoil Gold Glimmer Shine ($22) is supposed to provide an invisible veil of pure luminous shine infused with the extraordinary Again Oil. This is the only product from Moroccanoil that I wasn't satisfied with since it makes my hair really dry. I can only speak from my experience, because I've heard many people who weren't product reviewers rave and rave about this product. I passed it on to my oldest sister. She is a cosmetologist, and she loves this product! She couldn't thank me enough for it. This product is known to create a smooth and radiant finish, while strengthening and protecting your hair from the harsh affects of UV rays and free radicals.

The Moroccanoil Restorative Hair Mask ($37) is one of my favorite masks I've used so far. It strengthens my hair, while deeply penetrating to help reconstruct and rebuild hair damaged by chemical or environmental stresssors. It is rich with proteins, which moisturizes the hair, adds shine, and restores elasticity. I've used hair masks in the past without having much luck using them. They either weighed down my hair and / or made it really dry - a combination of both made my hair feel really icky! Thank goodness for me not having a problem with this hair mask though. Another good thing is you don't have wait as long as you do with other treatments. Most deep hair treatments take 20-30 minutes, while this one takes 7-10 minutes.

The Moroccanoil Intense Hydrating Mask ($29) works well as the Moroccanoil Restorative Hair Mask ($37). While the other hair mask is good for strengthening the hair, this one provides more moisture. It also adds shine and elasticity. Also, heat isn't required!
